Joining forces for more successful tourist season

Montenegro Airlines held meeting with the representatives of Montenegrin travel agencies

Data/Images/montenegro_airlines_sastanak_sa_turistickim_organizacijama_s.jpgIn the past years Montenegro Airlines has been one of the key stakeholders of Montenegrin tourism industry, putting all of its capacities in the service of the tourism of Montenegro and carrying about 50% of the total number of air passengers, with great contribution of travel agencies that sell those capacities. This is one of the conclusions of the meeting held between the national carrier and thirty Montenegrin travel agencies.

The meeting, organized by Montenegro Airlines, gathered many Montenegrin travel agencies with the aim to improve cooperation and enhance implementation of plans for summer season 2014. To that end, various models of cooperation that would contribute to the enhanced availability of Montenegro were discussed during the meeting, and it was determined that such concept should be developed in fast, efficient and quality manner in the future period.

Speaking of access to the European metropolises by national carrier, Mr. Živko Banjević, Montenegro Airlines Acting CEO, says that, on the one hand, it is subject to attractive offer and on the other hand the quality of air services.

- Launching new routes, in addition to the existing ones and many charter destinations, is of great importance for Montenegro. The new fleet, safe and accurate transport with 98.9% of operability level makes Montenegro Airlines competitive in the region and beyond. All of our operational services are available to travel agencies 24 hours a day, as well as many other benefits which were prepared in order to improve our cooperation, says Mr. Banjević, and adds that it proves that the national carrier succeeds in its struggle for its position on the European sky.

- We are ready to meet the needs of growing tourism demand from the European area in this summer season, and also to enable the citizens of Montenegro to visit all major cities in Europe throughout the year. This will be greatly supported by the improved cooperation between the national carrier and travel agencies, said Mr. Banjević.

The representatives of travel agencies were also presented with specific proposals for autumn 2014 regarding the flight schedule, so that the agencies may include them in the sale of post-season packages.
