Belgrade - The delegation of Montenegro Airlines headed by Daliborka Pejovic, the President of the Board of Directors, took part in the conference "Sustainable Development and Competitiveness of Tourism in South-East Europe – SEET 2014", held in Belgrade.
Within the conference, the national carrier of Montenegro was presented the "BRAND LEADER AWARD". Daliborka Pejovic, the President of the Board of Directors, received the award. Expressing gratitude for the award, she said that the award came as result of a 20-year long work and added that the national carrier represented a crucial link in the concept already adopted by the Government of Montenegro that refers to the availability of Montenegro as tourism destination, in which the air transport plays a special role.
"Launching new scheduled routes, in addition to the existing ones and numerous charter destinations, is of vital importance for Montenegro. Besides, the strong competition on the market, especially at times when the number of low-cost carriers on our sky is growing, we still succeed to carry almost 50% of the total number of passengers arriving by air to Montenegro on annual level. It actually proves that we manage to win our position on Montenegrin sky. New routes imply high, but necessary investments and I am confident that together with our investment community we will reach an effective solution to remain the regional leader in the future," said Mrs. Pejović.
The award was presented on the basis of a set of standardised criteria including innovativeness, high level of market recognition, and authentic product placement, and has been awarded for the past ten years with the aim to promote the most prominent companies, institutions, persons and media that have set the higher standards and that promote the market, through continuous positive development and innovative strategies, and give an outstanding contribution to the popularization of economy potential, as well as, create competitive tourism image of the Region.
During the presentation of this prestigious award by the competent Committee, it was emphasised that Montenegro Airlines sets high standards on the regional market in terms of high quality service, operational excellence and continuous increase of efficiency. A successful and efficient management, following global trends, carefully selected innovative and development strategies, has embedded all positive and recognizable elements by market standards in creating the new image of the company. Continuous development of Montenegro Airlines’ international transport network particularly contributes to further strengthening its reputation and competitiveness of tourism product in the South East Europe region.
In the panel-discussion on subject "Tourist Product Contemporary Market Strategies", Montenegro Airlines' CEO spoke about fleet modernization, announced the arrival of new aircraft type Empbraer 190 in Montenegro Airlines fleet, which is expected to land at Podgorica Airport in the following couple of days, as well as the improvement of all services which make the product of Montenegro Airlines very competitive.
In addition to participation in the panel discussion, the delegation of Montenegro Airlines also had the opportunity to hold numerous meetings with the most important representatives of the regional tourism industry. |
