Airport Malpensa, in Milan, hosted a large number of representatives of Italian media, tour operators and numerous representatives of Montenegrin media and tourism industry of Montenegro at a press cocktail which officially launched the new route of Montenegrin carrier to Milan and presented the tourism offer of Montenegro.

addressed the present guests.
Mr. Petar Glomazic, Montenegro Airlines CEO Deputy, greeted the guests and expressed thanks to the obvious interest in Montenegro and Montenegro Airlines. He stated that Montenegro Airlines had started scheduled flights to Milan on 20th July 2008. "Milan and its region are one of the most developed areas in Europe. The opening of this route shall be an important impulse to the full valorization of increased interest in the economic exchange and cooperation with Montenegro. Besides the unquestionable tourism potential which Montenegro desires to bring closer to the Italian market and the region of Milan, we expect a significant number of business passengers, considering the evident interest of both Montenegrin and Italian industry. Montenegro Airlines also expects a significant number of transit passengers, as Milan is an important hub".
Mr. Cedomir Djurisic, Montenegro Airlines’ Commercial Director, stated that "In correlation with Montenegrin tourism industry, with intention to encourage Italian tourists to the greater use of Montenegrin accommodation capacities, Montenegro Airlines offered a wide range of tariffs. The least expensive tariff amounts 89 EUR (fees not included), then tariffs in the amounts 159 EUR, 175 EUR, 199 EUR, etc. Round ticket taxes amount 114 EUR."
Mr. Djurisic particularly mentioned the cooperation with the Agency “Tehnoturism”, which offers special packages for holidays on Montenegrin seaside: 4 days – 3 overnights, including flight Milan-Tivat-Milan, as well as accommodation in the following hotels: Hotel Regina Jelena, Hotel Queen of Montenegro, Hotel Maestral.
Ms. Danica Ceranic, National Tourism Organization Manager, stated that Montenegro was the country of a unique beauty, rich with beautiful beaches, high mountains, country of rich history and culture, and above all, cordial and pleasant people. She confirmed the fact that Montenegro was rapidly becoming one of the favorite tourism destinations of Italian passengers, based on data that the number of booked overnights grew from 50,000 in 2005 to 206,000 overnights in 2007. "This year National Tourism Organization expects 1.3 million visitors with 8 million overnights and revenues of about 600 million euros", said Ms. Ceranic.
Montenegro Airlines shall operate two weekly flights from Tivat on this route, on Thursdays and Sundays, at 11:30 and 15:00, while the return flights are on the same days at 13:50 and 17:20.
The least expensive return ticket on this route amounts 89 EUR, taxes in the amount 114 EUR not included.
Starting from 26th October, Montenegro Airlines shall begin its operations to Milan from Podgorica, as well.
