Due to air space and airport closures in Great Britain, France and Germany, caused by thick cloud of volcanic ash, Montenegro Airlines has cancelled today's flights to London, Paris and Frankfurt.

All passengers have been informed on rescheduling flights and they will be updated on further developments of the situation in these areas. As soon as weather conditions and authorities in these countries permit travel to be resumed, the aircrafts of Montenegro Airlines will recommence normal operations.

On other routes, to destinations not affected by this occurrence, the aircraft of our company have continued regular and timely operations according to the usual flight schedule. Flights to Moscow, Zurich, Vienna, Rome, Bari, Skoplje, Nis, Pristina and Belgrade have been operated.

In the past two days thick clouds of volcanic ash and smoke have caused chaos in air traffic throughout Northern Europe, Great Britain, Ireland, France, Germany, the Netherlands and the Nordic countries. More than 6000 flights have been cancelled due to this occurrence.

Volcanic ash and smoke represent a great danger to the safety of aircrafts and flights, cause reduced visibility and may be very harmful to the aircraft engines.
