New procedures concerning ticket sale

Starting from Monday, 27 October 2014, when booking tickets, all Montenegro Airlines passengers will have to provide additional information contained in their identification documents, as required for border crossing (ID card/ passport/ visa).

The above-said information will be required for each passenger listed in the reservation: adult, children and infants. So, when booking a ticket, a passenger will be asked the following information:

  • number of passport/ ID card
  • name of the country that issued the passport/ ID card
  • passenger's nationality
  • expiry date of the passport/ ID card
  • sex
  • birth date
  • first and last name of the passenger (as stated in the passport/ ID card)

If the final destination requires a visa, the passengers will be required to provide information about visa, as follows:

  • number of visa
  • place of visa issuance (city and country)
  • date of visa issuance
  • country of birth (city and country)

The mandatory information required from passengers will be subject to the type of document the passengers present at the border crossing when leaving the country. For those destinations where it is mandatory to present the passport at the border, the passengers will have to provide information contained in their passport. If only ID card is required for the travel, the passengers may provide data from that document.

The above-stated procedure will be implemented in accordance with Article 52 of the Law on Border Control (Official Gazette of Montenegro 72/09, 20/11, 40/11 and 39/13), which stipulates that the carrier, Montenegro Airlines, has to deliver border authorities the detailed information about all passengers on its flights.
