Opening of a new hangar

Today Montenegro Airlines has opened a hangar which will, according to the company's representatives, improve the quality and provision of services and lower maintenance expenses.

On this occasion, Andrija Lompar, the Minister of Transport, Maritime Affairs and Telecommunications in the Government of Montenegro and Zoran Djurisic, Ph.D, President of Montenegro Airlines, addressed the guests.

The Minister of Transport, Maritime Affairs and Telecommunications, said that the overall investment was about 2 million euros.

"Montenegro Airlines has provided a work area of 1 700 square meters for repair services, as well as 700 square meters of office space intended for maintenance quality", said Lompar at the opening of the hangar.

He believes that such a facility was what Montenegro Airlines was previously, because in this way the company has a hangar for aircraft stowage and working capacity at its home base.

"The hangar will help in reducing maintenance expenses and improving maintenance quality, and the company plans as well to offer aircraft maintenance services to other airlines, which will lead to reducing expenses and increasing profits for Montenegro Airlines", said Minister Lompar.

The President of Montenegro Airlines, Zoran Djurisic, Ph.D., said that the opening of the hangar is an important step in the company's development because it will improve the quality and provision of services.

"The facility was supposed to be opened ten years ago, but then it was impossible for financial reasons. Five years ago we decided to open a hangar, but because of administrative barriers, we were not able to do so", explained Djurisic.

Montenegro Airlines plans to provide services to other companies as well, because the Technical Department of Montenegro Airlines is licensed and qualified to provide such service.
