Certificates for Flight Dispatchers
The official ceremony of Certificate presentation to Flight Dispatchers was held in Montenegro Airlines headoffice. Dr Zoran Djurisic, the president of Montenegro Airlines Board of directors presented the certificates.
Training Center of Montenegro Airlines has trained five young and competent colleagues for this demanding job. The duties of Flight Dispatcher involve managing traffic and performing very demanding, sensitive and responsible operational functions in aviation. This primarily means the preparation of complex navigational plans, traffic coordination within the Eurocontrol system, crew planning, providing slots, traffic licences, etc. Now, Montenegro and its airline have their own staff of this very specific profile, thus, there will be no more need to engage the experts from other countries.
Dr Djurisic expressed his pleasure and on this occasion stated: “Speaking in aviation terms, the dispatcher is a “captain on the ground”, so we should be proud of the professional team which Montenegro Airlines licensed, and which Montenegro so far did not have”.
The first Flight Dispatchers, to whom Montenegro Airlines Training Center granted licenses, are the persons employed within the company, who, working hard, earned this opportunity to become the first staff of this profile trained in Montenegro. They are: Darko Abramovic, Milutin Nikolic, Ranko Ristic, Veroslav Tesovic i Milan Zivkovic.
The Flight Dispatchers are not the only profile that Montenegro Airlines trained. In addition to training in-company staff (pilots, cabin crew, safety staff), Montenegro Airlines Training Center has issued licenses to international partners. Within the company, the pilots of Slovakia airline were trained in all categories – Instructors, Captains and First Officers. Thus, the certificates issued by Montenegro Airlines Training Center are recognized by the aviation authorities of European Union.
