Montenegro has recognized tourism as its strategic activity, and therefore Montenegro Airlines is ready to sustain the development of tourism, and, as usually, give its contribution. This season, our capacities will serve the tourism of Montenegro.
During summer season 2007 Montenegro Airlines will operate 11 international destinations:
Belgrade – several daily flights from Tivat and Podgorica.
We are currently preparing the activities for the international fair in Belgrade, together with NTO to present our offer. Once again, we shall make estimates of the Serbian market, after which we will have more precise projection of the number of rotations.
Frankfurt – six times per week from Podgorica, and on Saturdays from Tivat;
Zurich – in total eight (8) times per week from Tivat and Podgorica;
Rome – two flights per week from Podgorica (Monday and Friday);
Wiena - during summer season Montenegro Airlines will operate three times a week from Podgorica; for the moment we have code share agreement with Austrian Airlines;
Ljubljana – in total four (4) times a week. In addition to code-share agreement with Adia Airways, during the season, Montenegro shall operate once a week from Podgorica;
Budapest – code-share agreement with MALEV three times a week;
Paris – twice a week from Tivat and once a week from Podgorica, with introducing additional flights as necessary;
Munich – this destination is new in Montenegro Airlines offer. Operations to this destination starts on 22nd June from Tivat, on Mondays and Fridays. Promotional tariff for Munich amounts to 98 euros, no fees included. Montenegro Airlines is currently negotiating with Lufhansa to establish cooperation, which would mean more favourable tariffs for our passengers who continue their travel further to Europe and USA.
Moscow and Saint Petersburg – On Friday, 13th April 2007, Montenegro Airlines obtained confirmations of licences to perform scheduled flights to Russia from Russian civil aviation authorities. The intention of Montenegro Airlinesa is to begin operations on 19th May, twice a week to Moscow and three times a week to Saint Petersburg. These routes are planned as scheduled flights which will connect Montenegro with Russia throughout the year. During the next week, the delegation of Montenegro Airlines will visit business partners in Moscow, and have discussions with Russian tour operator R-Tours. We shall sign code-share agreement with Air Union, Russian air carrier.
TARIFFS – advantages
Regarding the advantages, in addition to promotional tariff Tivat – Munich 98 euros, we have a new offer – discount of 75% for children under 12 years on flights to Frankfurt, Zurich, Rome, on all applicable tariffs, for the period 1st May 2007 - 31st May 2007.
In addition to this, for young and retired persons, we have introduced new tariff 22 euros + fees, on route TIV-BEG-TIV i TGD-BEG-TGD. The total amount of these tickets, with fees, will be 85.5 EUR. The number of available seats will be limited to 5-10 seats per flight.
The airport fee, for travels starting on 1st May 2007, which were so far collected by the Airports of Montenegro directly from the passengers during the check-in at the airports Podgorica and Tivat, from now will be collected through the ticket of Montenegro Airlines and amounts to 15 euros, as so far.
CHARTER FLIGHTS
Our charter flights completely serve our tourism. Besides, Montenegro Airlines in this form of flights offers services to numerous sports teams. We wish to emphasize that our company is recognized as a reliable and accurate carrier, and thus many last year agreements were renewed, and new ones concluded.
More than 700 charter flights, intended for our tourists, will be operated through our partners.
Numerous agreements were signed with foreign partners for this year:
Austria – charters from Graz and Klagenfurt;
France – Prodintour – from Metz and Paris;
Czech Republic – our partner Kovotour – is expanding the network of its charter flights in the region, and, thus, has concluded the agreement with Montenegro Airlines about the transport of passengers from Czech Republic, Slovakia and Poland. During the last year we have performed more than 60 rotations with this partner, and this year we expect more than 100 rotations. This continuing good cooperation has resulted with their request for the year 2008;
Our longterm partner HIT Maestral – has continued a very successful cooperation with us. Last year we transported 15 000 tourists on 450 flights, and this year by the end of May, there will be 154 flights, with expactations to exceed the number of last year flights. This segment of business operations is very important, because the passengers are coming throughout the year, without interruptions.
Montenegro Airlines intensively continues activities regarding the investigations of the market in Macedonia, more precisely Skopje. Montenegro Airlines offered the opening of this route to the tour-operators from the area of Macedonia. Currently there are dicussions and we expect the reply from Macedonian tourist economy to our offer.
Thanks to thus planned traffic, we expect that during the main four months of the summer season (June – September) Montenegro Airlines will transport around 160 000 passengers.
