Today, in the Representative Office of Montenegro Airlines in Zürich, the first electronic ticket was issued. Montenegro Airlines is the first company on the Balkans, which introduced the so called electronic ticketing. The precondition for implementing electronic ticketing, besides technical readiness of the company and highly trained staff, is also the technical equipment of the airport. Therefore, the first e-ticket was actually issued on the line Zürich – Belgrade – Zürich, where all conditions are met.
All companies – members of IATA association are obliged to implement electronic ticketing by the end of 2007, and Montenegro Airlines has just started doing so. The complete company's staff is trained and ready to meet other conditions, to enable the functioning of electronic ticketing on all destinations.
By implementing the mentioned service the so-called electronic ticketing, Montenegro Airlines proves that it follows the modern trends in air industry.
The passenger who bought the first electronic ticket was Mr. Branimir Pantic, who has been living in Switzerland for 25 years, and has worked in the tourist industry for 12 years. It was a real pleasure to issue e-ticket to a person who is familiar with all advantages of the new way of ticketing.

What is e-ticket?
It is a ticket that you do not carry with you. You make reservations and pay in the usual way. You do not have to go to the Representative Office or to the Agency to pick it up. You go straight to the airport. During check in, you go to the counter and present you identification documents and you will immediately get a boarding pass, which serves you to board the aircraft.
It is also important to stress that electronic ticket means, besides time saving, another way of savings from the passenger's aspect. Namely, the costs of prepaid will no longer be charged (pre-paid, PTA). If somebody else pays the ticket for you, after the payment is made, it is enough that you come to the airport and check in.
Therefore, the use of electronic ticket is very practical, and the procedure of its purchase and use are very quick and simple.
