24th October, 2005 in Podgorica, a press conference was held, when the President of Montenegro Airlines Dr Zoran Djurisic, Minister of Maritime and Transport Dr Andrija Lompar and Minister of Tourism Predrag Nenezic addressed the present.
All these years in which Montenegro Airlines has been operating successfully prove that the Government’s decision about the establishment of an air company was the right one. The most complex project in the history of Montenegro, from technical, technological and organizational point was formed successfully.
For the celebration of its 11th anniversary of operations, Montenegro Airlines has provided, in accordance with the modern Management-Marketing concept the funds for the donation to the Children’s Clinic in Podgorica. The amount of this donation was 20.000 euros. The funds were intended for the acquisition of the most modern surgical microscope, the acquisition of which represents the priority at children’s surgery.
The operations of Montenegro Airlines feature considerate positive effects, and first of all the increase of the number of transported passengers. The number of transported passengers in the first nine months this year has increased for 33% compared to the same period last year. The average load factor for the first nine months last year was 67%, and in 2005 for the same period it is 77%.
The reasons of passenger number increase are first of all the high quality of service, safety and punctuality – which will continue to be the basic guidelines of operations. Another reason, of the passenger number increase is the increased interest of tourists in Montenegro as a destination and an excellent cooperation with all the actionists of tourist economy.
Further development plans of the company show that in the next season there will be a greater increase in the number of passengers. Thus, the management of the company intensively considers the acquisition of another, sixth aircraft.
