The delegation of the airline Aeroflot-Don, subsidiary of worldwide renowned Aeroflot company, arrived in Podgorica on 18.04.2005. Aeroflot company owns the control package of this company’s shares (51%). The delegation consists of 11 members of senior management, and is lead by Kritsky Mihail, the President of Aeroflot-Don. The other members of the delegation are director of Flights operations, director of flight safety, chief of aviation, chief of engineering, commercial director, technical director and other respected professionals from this company.
The regional division of Aeroflot - Aeroflot-Don has 12 aircraft in its fleet at the moment. They have planned to acquire 10 aircraft type Fokker 100 in the following year. The first three aircraft will be delivered to them this September. The decision of Aeroflot-Don company to acquire these aircraft is another indicator of how much the aircraft type Fokker 100 are valued in the air market.
Before signing commercial contracts regarding the purchase of these aircraft, Aeroflot-Don has decided to consult the professional team of Montenegro Airlines. The reason for this, as it is well-known, is the status of Montenegro Airlines as leader in the Eastern Europe for this type of aircraft.
After composing this fleet, the idea of Russian representatives is to make commercial arrangements with Montenegro Airlines for the use of so-called know-how. This means that professional personnel of Montenegro Airlines would perform the training of the Russian company’s employees. First of all, it means the training of engineers, air mechanics and flight personnel – pilots and stewardesses. As it is known, the export of know-how is the most appreciated and most profitable service in the world. The companies that provide know-how services have a lot of knowledge, experience and confidence in their activities, and this is why partners address to them for this kind of service.
This is the third in the series of these arrangements that Montenegro Airlines has had lately. As it has already been presented in public, the same arrangement was made in the territory of Libya, while at the moment the aircraft, crews and technical staff of Montenegrin air company are leased to Albanian company “Albatros Airways” for three-year period. This proves that we have become the renowned exporters of know-how to markets in the area.
In relation to that, the Protocol on cooperation was signed between Montenegro Airlines and Aeroflot-Don.
In the last couple of days, the representatives of Croatian airline Trade Air also visited Podgorica. Trade Air has two aircraft type Fokker 100 in its fleet. The reason of their visit to Montenegro Airlines was the potential cooperation on the same basis as with Aeroflot-Don. Thus, the new Croatian airline is interested for the purchase of “know-how” from Montenegro Airlines. The potential partners from Macedonia also show the same interest.
