Statistical indicators of Montenegro Airlines business operations
For the first three months 2005 air company Montenegro Airlines has transported 16.7% more passengers compared to the same period last year. The greatest increase was recorded in March 2005, when, compared to March last year we transported 27% more passengers.
If this growth trend continues, we expect to end the year 2005 with record number of 430,000 transported passengers.
In the first three months the average load factor on our planes was 67.3%. This clearly indicates that the profitability of our destinations is high and that the growth trend continues in comparison to a very successful year 2004.
The productivity of our airline (i.e. the ratio between transported passengers and number of employees) in 2004 was 1627, which is the greatest productivity of all air companies in former Yugoslav republics (Adria, Croatia…).
In the first quarter this year compared to the same period last year, concerning the number of flights, there was an increase in 14%.
In 2004 our planes had an average delay from the scheduled timetable of only 2.04%. The average delay of Montenegro Airlines flights, on all national and international routes, was only 5 minutes in 2004, which is an impressive European average.
The income from third markets in the first quarter makes one third of total company’s income. We would also like to emphasize the route Belgrade – Zurich, where in March and February we transported more passengers than multi-decade operator on this line JAT and SWISS AIR.
Summer timetable
As for the scheduled air transport, besides national transport, Montenegro Airlines shall operate on seven international destinations during the summer season:
* Frankfurt, during the summer season daily flights
*Zurich (at present daily flights over Belgrade, during the summer season from Podgorica, starting from 24th June)
*Zurich – Nis (all year round twice a week – on Fridays and Sundays)
*Rome – twice a week all year round (on Mondays and Fridays)
*Vienna – as from 25th June twice a week (on Mondays and Saturdays)
*Ljubljana – during the summer season once a week from Tivat, and twice a week from Podgorica
*Budapest - during the summer season three times a week (on Wednesdays, Fridays, Sundays)
*Paris, starting from 9th April from Tivat every Saturday, during the season twice a week (Tuesdays from Podgorica, and Saturdays from Tivat)
Charter flights during the season shall be operated towards Italy, Greece, Turkey, Egypt, Czech Republic, Germany.
We would like to emphasize the flights from Podgorica to Bari and Naples, on Fridays and Sundays, which operate during the whole year in cooperation with HIT, i.e. hotel Maestral.
Another important series of flights is on line Dresden and Erfrut in Germany, which will start from 30th April 2005.
Besides the mentioned flights we shall continue our cooperation with our last year partner Kovotour from Brno regarding flights to Brno and Ostrava.
Direct flights from Montenegro to Paris
After two years of flying only during summer season, Montenegro Airlines has the opportunity to open direct flights in pre-season period, therefore Montenegro Airlines will start its direct flights on line to Paris from 9th April and intend to maintain the line on the annual basis.
It is planned to operate flights once a week, i.e. every Saturday, on line Paris/Tivat, and in summer season, as in previous years, we shall operate twice a week to the most visited city in Europe, namely from Podgorica (on Tuesdays) and Tivat (on Saturdays).
The return ticket price will be in the range of 265 – 380 EUR, without fees.
This year, from Paris, we shall operate from one of the biggest and busiest airports in Europe Charles de Gaulle, which will represent a great connection for passengers who continue their travel to another European or intercontinental destination.
We are proud to present the information that a greater number of our passengers from Paris will visit Dubrovnik Riviera, which means that Montenegro Airlines has taken over a certain number of passengers from the regional companies.
Paris destination is very important for Montenegro Airlines, from other aspects, too. As we are the only representative of Montenegro in France, our diaspora, as well as Montenegrin business partners from France recognise in our company the address to which they can refer on many other requests.
