Podgorica, 8th June 2008, one of the most modern aircraft of the type Embraer 195, owned by Montenegro Airlines, has landed to Podgorica Airport, by which the first part of the Agreement relating to fleet renovation was realized i.e. new aircraft acquisition.
On this occasion, a press cocktail was realized in the prestigeous London hotel The Dorchester for numerous guests from the political and public life, numerous representatives from media houses from Montenegro and abroad, as well as for Montenegro Airlines employees.
Dr Zoran Djurišić, the President of Montenegro Airlines, Dr Andrija Lompar, the Minister of Marine, Transport and Communication in the Government of Montenegro and Mr Patrice Candaten, the Sales Director of Embraer for Europe and Asia have spoken at the press cocktail.
Expressing the pleasure that the first part of the Agreement is fulfilled, Dr Zoran Djurišić has declared he is proud that one of the most modern aircraft type today is owned by Montenegro Airlines, and added that already in a few days this aircraft shall be introduced into commercial flights.
Dr Andrija Lompar declared, that the experience which Montenegro Airlines has with Fokkers 100 guarantees that the aircraft is in safe hands and that it will contribute to the image of Montenegro Airlines.
The Sales Director of Embraer has declared that the cooperation with Montenegro Airlines is very profitable and that day was a great day for Embraer as well. „We are very proud of the fact that Montenegro Airlines has chosen us in their further selection of the fleet“, said Mr Candaten.
„Embraer 195“ belongs to Embraer’s E-jet family, has 116 comfortable seats, a wider passage between the rows, a larger bagagge space and it was rightly called the aircraft of 21st century.
New aircraft of Montenegro Airlines shall bear the name „Independence Day“
